The government is getting ready to ban more plastics to help the environment.
Environment Minister David Parker has announced a plan to phase out hard-to-recycle-plastics by 2025.
But a natural plastics producer says there's more the government can do to wean us off our plastic addiction.
Jayden Klinac is the founder of For the Better Good, which makes plastic alternatives - including making bread tags out of bread waste, and compostable plastic.Â
He told Heather du Plessis-Allan that we are in a position where businesses need to transition - but the business isn't at a scale where it's cheap or easy to produce.Â
"They are certainly more expensive. Plastic's really cheap because it needs to be.
"The more that businesses commit and take the leap to these newer, natural materials, the cheaper they are going to get."
