Are utes becoming a bigger problem for the Government?

Utes are set to be impacted by the Government's Clean Car Discount - The scheme rebates the cost of electric vehicles and will charge a fee from users of high emission vehicles.

Farmers and tradies have complained as there are no electric alternatives for utes at the moment.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said "a large number" of ute buyers are not using them for the "legitimate use" that those in the primary sector need them for.

However, those comments may have already come back to bite her.
