One of the world’s biggest online retailers has finally opened its cyber-doors to New Zealand.
Kiwis are now able to purchase goods from Amazon Australia, with faster delivery and cheaper prices.
While it’s good news for shoppers, it could mean a fresh headache for already struggling local retailers.
Hamish Conway, CEO of Sell Global, which helps Kiwi businesses sell with Amazon, told Heather du Plessis-Allan that Amazon will make it a better experience for consumers,
"They've got the selection. And Amazon is the master for the compelling reason to shop from them, so they are going to bring a whole new offering to the marketplace."
That will make everyone in the online space raise their game, he says.Â
