The Finance Minister wants to reassure the public that we won't be in a months-long lockdown.

Treasury today released scenarios showing the potential affect of Alert Level Four on our economy.

A number of scenarios consider the country staying in lockdown for three to six months.

But Finance Minister Grant Robertson told Heather Du Plessis Alan he wants us to get out of Level Four as soon as possible.

"All the Treasury have done here is model some potential scenarios. People shouldn't see them as any more than that. They are not prediction.

"But they do indicate it is really important that we do stick to the rules."

Earlier, Robertson said he was determined to keep unemployment under 10 per cent.
