Christmas is not off to a great start with shopping.

Toyworld owner Phillip Bramley told Wellington Mornings' Jason Pine that because of the shipping delays, you might want to start shopping now.

President of the NZ Toy Distributors Association Geoff Lyons told Andrew Dickens this year is worse than last year despite Covid.

"It's been compounded by worldwide demand. With Covid last year, everyone was caught short, so this year they've all ordered up large so the actual volumes are much much higher."
