The death of three New Zealanders living in Perth, Michelle Peterson, 48, and her children Bella, 15 and Rua, eight, comes as a massive shock. 

The Maori community in Perth held an emotional vigil yesterday to honour the lives that were tragically cut short.

Michelle Peterson's son Teancum Peterson-Crofts, 19, has been charged with killing the trio and he appeared in court last week and appeared in court again today.
