The unemployment rate has dropped to 3.4% - matching a record low in December 2007.
Wages have gone up 2.5% which is still well-off inflation at 4.9%
Emma Scott from Tribe Recruitment told Heather du Plessis-Allan there's a "war for talent" as the labour market runs hot.
She says the market has flipped from being a business-driven market to a candidate-driven market.
“Employees can demand things that they haven’t been able to necessarily demand in the last few years.”
She says businesses are finding it hard to attract and retain talent.
