A Covid modeller expects we will hit a thousand daily Covid cases in the next couple of days.  

New Zealand recorded 981 new community cases today – the majority in Auckland.  

We're moving into phase two of our Omicron response at midnight tomorrow.  

Te Punaha Matatini's Dion O'Neale told Heather du Plessis-Allan there's a chance things that have been putting the brakes on our case numbers, now won't work as well. 

“So, there is a risk that that growth rate will go up, so it’s not just going to be seeing case numbers continue to go up in the abstract numbers we’re seeing them go up, but actually they’ll start to, potentially, double a little bit faster.”
