ACT has lashed the Government for putting civil servants through a course on diversity.

Emails released under the Official Information Act reveal it's cost the Ministry of Education almost $700,000 alone.

Participants are told recognising privilege acknowledges our colonial history and its impact on society.

But ACT Leader David Seymour says it's just old fashioned profiling, racism and discrimination.

"They say it's normal for people to feel a sense of shame and guilt when going through this course, that more than half of the Ministry of Education bureaucracy has had to do."
