David Seymour blasts 'gun-shy' Government for delaying alert level move

Businesses in Auckland can reopen when the city moves to alert level two at 6am on Sunday, but there are rules.

The rest of the country will move to level one at the same time.

The levels will be reviewed at the end of next week - with the view of moving Auckland to alert level one at the start of the weekend.

Jacinda Ardern says gatherings can be no bigger than 100 people - and that includes weddings, birthdays, funerals, tangi and other church services.

She says business must follow public health rules - including physical distancing, record keeping and sticking to the gathering limit.

Act Party leader David Seymour told Heather du Plessis-Allan the lockdown should've been lifted immediately.

"The Government are gun-shy because they got it wrong last time.

"They don't trust their systems to trace 15 people. As a result, they will pass the cost onto businesses."
