The Prime Minister has all but set a freedom date for Auckland.
All Auckland DHBs have hit 90 per cent of the eligible population having one dose.
The city is on track to being 90 per cent double-jabbed by the end of this month meaning a move into the traffic light system.
ACT Party Leader David Seymour has been calling for a freedom date for weeks.
He told Heather Du Plessis Allan they could have set it a while ago.
“They’ve sensed that people want it, so they're going to give it. And secondly, they must be confident that they’re actually going to get their vaccine mandate law passed and get the app up and going. That’s the things that they’ve been waiting for.”
