In his first round victory over Britain’s Paul Judd, Kyrgios called a line judge a “snitch” and spat in the direction of rowdy spectators.

Elsewhere, Serena Williams’ singles comeback was over very quickly.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner found herself crashing out in the first round to French player Harmony Tan.
