Former All Black Waka Nathan has passed away aged 81.
He was a crucial part of Auckland's Ranfurly Shield success up to 1963 and went on to play 37 tests for the All Blacks.
After his playing days had ended, he coached the New Zealand Maori side and is credited with saving Maori rugby in New Zealand.
Former All Black and teammate Chris Laidlaw joined Heather du Plessis-Allan.
