Chris Hipkins says schools will be making sure students have access to the Covid vaccine.

The Education Minister today announced senior students in Level 3 areas will return next Tuesday and NCEA exams will go ahead.

The Covid-19 Response Minister told Andrew Dickens being vaccinated is not a requirement for returning, but there will be opportunities for students to get vaxxed.

“Their vaccination rates are lower. We’ll be making sure that they’ve got vaccination available either on site or nearby to the school site so that we can encourage as high an uptake as possible.”

Students will not need to be Covid tested.
