Freight forwarders say the spot price market isn't ideal.
New Zealand freight forwarders will have to rely on the spot price market next year as the sector understands shipping container company Maersk will drop contracts for smaller container movements.
The Freight Forwarders Federation's Chris Edwards told Heather du Plessis Allan most of their members and clients want price surety.
“If you’re on the spot market that changes week by week, you’re can imagine that’s just not sustainable for members and their clients.”
