A former Democrat senator is shocked at how competitive the presidential race is in Ohio.
Donald Trump's leading by about 6 points with 82 percent of the vote counted in the weathervane state.
He has more than 52 percent of the vote, while Joe Biden has more than 46 percent.
Last election, Trump won by 51 percent to Hillary Clinton's 43.5 per cent.Â
Capri Cafaro told Heather Du Plessis-Allan it shows how well Biden has done with suburban women and more affluent suburbs around the major cities.
"His performance with older adults, senior citizens, where Donald Trump really did well four years ago, and the same thing with non-college educated whites. I think this is going to be competitive all over the country."Â
Making the race tighter is that  each state across the US has jurisdiction over when it counts its votes.
"So we're seeing so many of these battleground states not being decisive and being incredibly close," Cafaro says.
