Jacinda Ardern has been trying to sell New Zealand to overseas workers to combat job shortages, particularly in the health sector.

Before Covid, almost 43 per cent of doctors were from overseas, with many joining the exodus of skilled workers and some blaming delays over residency.

There has been a debate over the accuracy of Covid modellers, especially over the past few months.

Chris Hipkins commented on modelling, comparing them to a weather forecast earlier today.
