The Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister's described horrific Russian rocket strikes on Kiev.

He's tweeted saying the last time the capital experienced anything like this was in 1941 when it was attacked by Nazi Germany.

Dmytro Kuleba says Ukraine defeated that evil and will defeat this one.

Meanwhile Ukrainian Association of New Zealand's Anton Stafurin told Andrew Dickens he's trying to find refuge in things like common sense, which tells him the aggressor doesn't stand a chance.

“Updates are very localised and may or may not be reliable until somehow confirmed. So unfortunately my imagination keeps drawing me horrific pictures.”
