Work to promote vaccination rates in Reefton continues as those unvaccinated disrupt the South Island town.

Several St John ambulance staff have quit because they've chosen not to get the jab. 
 
Cafes are closing for half a week due to unjabbed staff choosing to leave. 
 
Buller Deputy Mayor Sharon Roche told Heather du-Plessis Allan the area was lagging behind with vaccination rates but it's now picked up. 
 
She says everyone has their own personal views and there are pockets where people are choosing not to get vaccinated. 

“We’re certainly encouraging as many as we can to take up the vaccination"
