Glassons is making it easier for its overseas workers to anonymously provide feedback on their working conditions.
It's launched an app that opens a line of communication between the New Zealand head office and the overseas workers, based mostly in China and Bangladesh.Â
Annie Hollister-Jones, a corporate advocacy specialist at Tearfund, told Heather du Plessis-Allan that they are confident it can work as other companies have similar products.
She says that the app will provide a streamlined process and allows them to go around some of the issues that will normally prevent them from speaking out, such as language issues or ineffective systems.Â
"All of the things that don't work are eliminated and they just have a really clear line with the company that they are working with."
