There are mixed messages on restrictions for religious services.
Police today updated guidelines for staff enforcing potential level two breaches at places of worship, saying groups of more than 10 aren't permitted - unless groups can keep separated
But the Ministry of Health has reminded people the 10-person limit still applies to church and faith based gatherings.
Police commissioner Andrew Coster told Andrew Dickens the guidance offers the minimum legal standard that may be enforced - but it's not a target.
"The health guidance is very clear that the safe number is ten people. That is what people should be doing to ensure everyone is safe."
