Air New Zealand engineers are hopeful the Christmas spirit prevails during strike-disrupted travel plans.
Almost a thousand engineers and aircraft logistics staff are planning to walk off the job on December 21.
Stan Renwick from the Aviation and Marine Engineers Association told Larry Williams it's a calculated move to get Air New Zealand back to the table.
"Hopefully we will get some sympathy from the public, who will understand workers have the right to defend their conditions of employment."
