I gather Meghan Markle has in the past earned money as an actress.

But the truth is she was never an especially talented one, her career had peaked and wasn't going anywhere and last night's Oprah interview confirmed that.

I'm not saying the whole thing was an act. I actually believed the stuff about her fragile mental health, I even bought it when she said she was having suicidal thoughts.

But the rest of it to me was more than a bit contrived.

Insincere.

And rehearsed.

And some things she said were just unbelievable, such as not knowing a lot about the royal family...or what life was going to be like for her.

Really, a grown-up woman goes out on dates with Prince Harry and never asks about his home life?

Or what it's like to be a working royal?

And Harry's been quite public about whole the relationship with the tabloids, the part they played in his mother's death, they never talked about that?

Of course they did.

Which leads me to think the whole Megxit thing was their plan all along.

Harry wanted out, Meghan turned up and presented the opportunity.

He as much as said so in what he said about William being trapped...who he now refers to as 'his brother'....not by his first name.

Harry stated that William had made his peace with it, accepted his lot in life.

Harry himself, obviously, could not...and that's fair enough.

Can you imagine yourself living in a fishbowl like that?

So, are there any winners here...not really...it's actually very sad to me.
