Why is this more about political posturing and covering of arses than it is providing support and specialist care?

So many questions out of this week and still nowhere near enough answers.

When did the PM know?

Why won't Grant Robertson just fess up that he knew?

Why is he ducking for cover, in light of everything that's happened for the Labour Party how on earth can he still view this as a smart, thoughtful or acceptable strategy?

Why won't the PM address why she's remained so in the dark and oblivious to media coverage?

Does she think reiterating that she read one niche online publication (The Spinoff) in a five week period of mainstream media reporting on this is acceptable or believable?

Is that how our country's leaders keep across the news these days? Seriously?

Where's the apology from Nigel Haworth for the victims on how this has been handled?

Why is the woman who sat alongside Haworth on the three person panel, now replacing him?

She's up to the neck in this alleged 'cover up' so how in all conscience does the Labour party replace him with her?

And what message does that send the victims?

Why aren't the victims front and centre here?

Why is this more about political posturing and covering of arses than it is providing support and specialist care?

Why is the deputy leader of the opposition having to give advice to the government on how to run this thing?

Is Paula Bennett the only grown up here?

Where is the Me Too movement in all of this?

Why are they so quiet?

Does the Me Too movement have a political preference on who they're willing to deem alleged aggressors and if it doesn't fit their narrative then, silence?

Where's Winston? How long does it take to recuperate from an op on an old rugby injury or is he laying low because he's distancing himself from this circus?

How is it that Kelvin Davis has thrown himself into this?

How is it that every time Kelvin Davis opens his mouth he makes things worse?

Speaking in the House yesterday he referred to these sexual abuse allegations as 'rumour'.

He used the Maori word for it, then when asked to define the word in English, he said "rumour", then when confronted about calling this whole thing a rumour, he lashed out at the reporter saying he wouldn't be lectured by a non-Maori speaker on the Maori language. Pardon?

You're the one who defined the word as rumour, closely followed by one of parliament's most fluent te reo speakers Shane Jones, who concurred that the definition of what Davis had said was indeed "rumours, to whisper, to gossip."

So we have the deputy leader of the Labour party disrespecting victims, publicly chalking this up to gossip and rumour.

We have Grant Robertson and the PM staying schtum on what they knew. We have Winston AWOL.

Is this what an open honest transparent, not to mention compassionate Government looks like? Seriously?
