The Government has the chance to help reinvigorate business in the country's CBDs with Cabinet deciding today whether there will be any changes to the country's current alert levels.
If so, Auckland might drop down from Level 2.5, while the rest of the country goes to Level One.
Restaurant Association general manager Nicola Waldren told Kate Hawkesby the hope is if we move to Level One today - it'll get more people back in the doors of local businesses.
"I think there will be more confidence as we get back to Level 1 outside of Auckland and hopefully Auckland will follow pretty quickly."
She says the current setting's have seen more people working from home - and it's been particularly hard for CBD-based cafes and restaurants.
