An expert says it's too soon to be screening passengers to New Zealand for the coronavirus.
Nearly 300 cases have been confirmed in China and Australia is now screening passengers at the border.
A Brisbane man is in isolation with symptoms of the virus which has killed six people.
Auckland University's microbiologist Siouxsie Wiles told Kate Hawkesby the threat is still low for New Zealand.
"Some cases are now being detected in Shanghai and Beijing, but these are all for people who have travelled from Wuhan. The countries which are doing screening are those with a direct flight from there."
