Some Eden Park residents are supportive of a plan to have concerts there.
The Eden Park Trust is applying for resource consent to host six concerts a year.
The stadium has to apply on a case-by-case basis and has missed out on concerts by Phil Collins, Bon Jovi and Eminem.
Its faced major push back from residents, who don't want the noise or traffic in the neighbourhood.
But Eden Park Residents Association spokeswoman Shona Tagg told Kate Hawkesby she doesn't mind the noise.
"It doesn't really matter what event is on at the park, it's really great noise to hear people getting out enjoying themselves and doing something fun."
She says the park has unused potential.
"It's a great venue and it should be used for all sorts of different things, not just traditional sporting codes."
