Trouble is brewing for Ellen DeGeneres.

Warner Media is investigating the US comedian's show, after allegations of a toxic work environment.

KTLA entertainment reporter Sam Rubin told Kate Hawkesby Ellen's producers have leapt to her defence, claiming it's their fault the atmosphere has degraded.

But he says employees say it's her name on the door and her responsibility to fix it.

"She's been conspicuously silent on the matter, and I read that as confirmation that some of these rumours are true."

Rubin says it's very unusual Ellen hasn't made any comment on this so far, but typically in Hollywood - one of her executive producers will take the fall.
