Reselling concert tickets is now a challenging problem due to scammers.

Some people are struggling to sell tickets to Wellington's Eminem concert this weekend, as people think they're fake.

One Auckland woman's being trying to sell her extra tickets for around three months, with buyers being less trustworthy after being stung on sites like Viagogo.

NZ Initiative Chief Economist Dr Eric Crampton told Kate Hawkesby a vendor has to prove the ticket is legit.

"With the electronic ticket, you can't tell if the person selling you that ticket has already sold it to someone else."
