Judith Collins has used her state of the nation speech to extend an olive branch to the Government on housing.
The National leader says she supports it taking emergency powers to rezone council land, freeing it up for housing.
She says people who can't get a house, expect the Government to get rid of the roadblocks standing in the way
National’s housing spokeswoman Nicola Willis told Kate Hawkesby the two major parties need to work together.
"We want more houses to be built, so we've ordered bipartisan support emergency legalisation to make it happen, but we're disappointed it's been rejected so quickly.
