One of the biggest fashion benefactors from Covid has been athleisure.
The trend sees clothing typically worn during athletic activities being worn in workplaces and schools and far from the sports field or gym.
It’s estimated that global sales in athleisure rose to over $350 billion last year.
JD Sports, a popular British chain that sells this clothing, is opening it’s first New Zealand store soon.
Stylist and fashion commentator Lou Heller told Kate Hawkesby the trend has been around for some time, long before the pandemic.Â
"I think it went a little bit too much into the fashion element, even though I think it's really relevant at the same time."
