Anxiety is growing in Fiji over the country's escalating Covid-19 community outbreak.

The country has recorded another 64 cases overnight, on top of the record high 83 announced on Sunday night, bringing the current outbreak to 681.

One person with Covid-19 has died from another serious illness in a Suva hospital.

Fiji correspondent Lice Movono told Kate Hawkesby there are fears the situation could get even worse.

“The mood is not good unfortunately. There is a lot of anxiety, there is a lot of mistrust of the government given the government has not been very communicative.”
