Forest and Bird says its workers are being targeted by angry anti-1080 campaigners.
DOC workers have copped threatening abuse 69 times between October 2017 and May this year, mostly over the use of 1080.
Threats had been made to burn down DOC offices, shoot down aircraft flying 1080 operations and kill or maim workers.
Some workers had stones and sand thrown at them and others have had threats that they would be poisoned.
Forest and Bird chief conservation adviser Kevin Hackwell told Kate Hawkesby they are also affected, and it's got to stop.
Hackwell says Anti-1080 groups needed to stop channelling their anger towards conservation workers.
"An 80-year-old branch member was assaulted and other members have had their tyres slashed, it really needs to stop."
