There are claims of ongoing exploitation in the legal sector.
The Aotearoa Legal Workers Union says despite efforts by major firms to change workplace culture for young lawyers, plenty of issues remain.
Union director Harrison Cunningham told Tim Dower a culture of fear persists.
"There's a myth of the 'little black book' that if you complain, your career will be over. Especially amongst the top commercial law firms, everyone's quite aware the partners there are all friends, they're contemporaries."
