Wellbeing indicators show a sense of community and pride have fallen in the capital over the past four years.Â
Council member Fleur Fitzsimons told Kate Hawkesby the city’s under-investment in water systems is taking a toll.Â
She’s says it’s not uncommon for the water to be out and pipes to be leaking and that Wellingtonians are fed up.Â
The most important thing the council does is bring water into people’s homes, which hasn’t been invested in for years.
Fitzsimons says we are now seeing the cost of that.Â
