One principal is sceptical about the government's big spend on schools.
Over 2000 state schools are set to receive up to $400,000 each to cover maintenance and infrastructure.
It's part of the government's $400 million schools package.
But Albany Senior High School Principal Claire Amos told Kate Hawkesby she's got some questions about the cash injection.
"We've been a school that need repairs since we opened, we've had leaky buildings. We've got some big questions about is this expected to fix up repairs that they were in the process of investigating and going to be resourced for anyway?"
However, teachers only have two years to spend the money, which Amos says could lead to wasteful spending.Â
"Also concerns me that there might be some un-strategic spending as well, because that sense that you need to get rid of it in the next two years might mean people take the easy option, do superficial things."
