New Zealand's first community based service for eating disorders has been launched, after demand for support services over the first Covid-19 lockdown increased four fold.

Canopy Eating Disorders Support Services (Canopy) makes eating disorders affordable and accessible to all Kiwis affected by eating disorders and disordered eating to help them flourish and reclaim their lives.

It will help make practical support affordable and more accessible, you can either reach peer to peer support in person, or online.

Founder Christine Deacon joined Kate Hawkesby to talk about the initiative.
