Most Wellingtonians want the demonstrations at Parliament to end. 

It's day 10 of the protests. 

The surrounding streets are still blocked by 450 cars, but police have secured capability to tow vehicles and a mediator's been brought in. 

Wellington Mayor Andy Foster told Kate Hawkesby most locals are frustrated and want the protest to end as quickly as possible, so streets are safe and businesses can operate. 

“I’ve talked to quite a lot of people and some of them have got a sneaking concern about the mandates as well.”
