An anti-money laundering expert says a new Government campaign lacks clarity.
Justice Minister Andrew Little has launched the Keep Our Money Clean campaign, which aims to highlight the extent of money laundering in New Zealand.
Ron Pol of AML Assurance told Kate Hawkesby he is eager for more details on where the initiative might lead.
"The most important thing really would be for the government to actually decide what its policy objective is."
He says the campaign is light on details.
"It lacks a clear policy objective and it mostly a a bit of a confused mishmash [...] but there's a couple of good elements too."
It's estimated more than a billion dollars a year is laundered through drug dealing and fraud.
