The Government is advising New Zealanders to reconsider taking overseas cruises.
Cruise Association chief executive Kevin O'Sullivan told Kate Hawkesby he's disappointed at the advice being given out.
"We believe that cruises are being unfairly targeted and it's a kneejerk reaction.
O'Sullivan says a cruise is no more dangerous than going to church on Sunday.
"There are a lot of people in close proximity with each other, but it's no different to other events like conferences or going to church."
