A woman accused of leaving her newborn baby to die in a drain in Sydney's west is likely to apply for bail next month.
Police say the 30-year-old, who's been charged with attempted murder, has admitted to putting the infant down the Quakers Hill drain not long after he was born.
The baby is in the care of New South Wales Family and Community Services.
