A Florida teen has been charged after she allegedly assaulted her mother with a pork chop.
Farrah Kernan, 18, reportedly became involved in a “verbal dispute” with her mother, Cynthia Kernan, at their Jensen Beach home last Thursday, according to Local 12 News.
An arrest affidavit stated Cynthia called 911 and told officers that the argument began after Farrah had been day drinking.
“Cynthia stated that during the argument, Farrah smacked her in the face with her right hand,” the affidavit reads, Us Weekly reported.
A friend of Cynthia’s who was visiting at the time, recorded footage of the dispute on her phone.
A Martin County Sheriff’s Office officer who later reviewed the video, said Cynthia was seen recoiling backwards after being struck.

"Food residue" was located on Cynthia Kernan's shoulder, supporting her story that her daughter Farrah had attacked her with a pork chop.
Cynthia also told responding officers that prior to the video recording, Farrah had thrown a pork chop at her, an incident not captured on tape.
The officer confirmed they had “observed food residue on Cynthia’s left shoulder, which was consistent with her
Local News 12 reported Farrah was uncooperative when questioned by attending officers, screaming and crying during the interaction.
“[Kernan] appeared confused and provided statements that were inconsistent with the evidence and not related to the battery,” the officer said.
The affidavit did not specify whether Cynthia sustained any injuries as a result of the alleged assault.
Us Weekly reported Farrah was arrested on one count of domestic battery and held on a $4130 bond.
Court records indicate she has not yet entered a plea.
According to US Weekly, if convicted, Farrah could face up to one year in prison and a $1652 fine.
A conviction could also result in a judge ordering her to complete 12 months’ probation and a six-month Batterer’s Intervention Program.
