A direct threat has been made to Tony Abbott from a Sydney teenager in an Islamic State propaganda video.

17-year-old Abdullah Elmir appears in the footage alongside dozens of Jihadists threatening the Australian Prime Minister and other world leaders.

The teenager ran away in June shortly after his birthday on a flight to the Middle East.

"Tony Abbott I say this...

"These weapons that we have, these soldiers.

"We will not stop fighting, we will not put down our weapons until we reach your lands, until we take the head of every tyrant."
