There'll be a stronger police presence at the Melbourne Cup Carnival this year in response to the raised terror alert level.
Authorities are also warning the 100-thousand people expected to attend the event at Flemington Racetrack, that they could be fined up to 15-hundred dollars for rowdy or drunken behaviour.
The Melbourne Cup runs next Tuesday afternoon.
