Trekking on a popular Himalayan route where at least 40 hikers and porters died in a devastating blizzard last week won't be halted, as search efforts begin wrapping up.

The president of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal says none of the trekking routes is closed.

A meeting of the tourism stakeholders has decided the Annapurna Circuit will also remain open.

About 40 people died and 400 were rescued after last week's storm.
