It seems Tony Abbott went out with a bang.

A ministerial marble table was destroyed at a party hosted in Canberra by the former Australian Prime Minister.

Parliament officials have confirmed to ABC News that the table, which belonged in the ministerial wing of Parliament House, was a casualty of a party hosted by Mr Abbott after he was ousted as Prime Minister.

The Department of Parliamentary Services was told about the broken table by cleaners the morning after the party.
