
A man has been arrested after a decapitated head was discovered next to a woman’s body at a property in Melbourne, Australia.
Officers attended the scene in Mt Waverley on Monday night, where they found the bodies of a 50-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman.
The Herald Sun is reporting the dead woman was pregnant.
The man’s mutilated body was found inside the address, 7News reported.
It has also been reported the man’s head was found nearby on a stick.
The 34-year-old suspect, who was accompanied by two large dogs at the time of his arrest, is in custody for the double murder.
He was found 6km away at Westall Railway Station after an extensive search of the area by helicopter and police dog.
Photos show spray-painted graffiti on the exterior of the home that reads “betrayal” and “karma” among other phrases.
Victoria Police are seeking further information about the crime as the investigation continues.
