UPDATED 5.35PM: At least three people are dead after a shooting at a shopping mall in the US city of Burlington in Washington State.

The Washington State Patrol says the suspect is still at large and they are searching for him along the interstate highway close to the shopping mall.

They say it's unclear whether more people were involved.

One suspect was described as "a Hispanic male wearing grey".

The shooter or shooters apparently left the scene at Cascade Mall in Burlington before the police arrived.

The police released no further details. There was no indication of any potential motive.
