Singer, dancer and actress Debbie Reynolds has died.
She's thought to have died from a stroke, at her Beverly Hills home shortly after one in the afternoon local time.
Ms Reynolds rose to stardom at the age of 19 in the film Singin in the Rain.
She went on to feature in a number of other films including Tammy and the Bachelor and Unsinkable Molly, for which she earned an Oscar nomination.
She famously divorced Eddie Fisher in 1959 after his affair with Elizabeth Taylor.
Executive editor of the Hollywood reporter Matthew Belloni said Ms Reynolds is a huge loss.
He said Ms Reynolds is a legend, who started out in film and continued to work as a performer throughout her entire life.
Her daughter Carrie Fisher died just yesterday, and Ms Reynolds was understood to have been arranging funeral plans for Ms Fisher at the time.
She was 84.
Meanwhile, George Irving, who starred alongside Reynolds in the musical Irene has also died.
He was 95.
