British Prime Minister David Cameron has made a blunder during his election campaign when he forgot which soccer team he supported.
Cameron, who has previously stated he's an Aston Villa fan, said he supported West Ham during a speech yesterday.
The Premier League teams play in similar colours.
Cameron later blamed his mistake on a "brain fade".
The reference was apparently an impromptu addition by Cameron.Â
Cameron has said he began supporting Villa after in 1982 when his uncle - William Dugdale - was club chairman.
However, the reaction was swift and mocking.

David Cameron just remembered his favourite football team is Weston Villham.

Hey @David_Cameron, how are West Ham getting on in the snooker?

The difference between David Cameron and West Ham is that only one of them is certain to still be in the Premiership next season #COYI
